MŪ811 Long Table
The MŪ811 long table was the first project which provided the direction and sensibility of MŪVEK’s first collection. It is characterised by the positioning of its legs at the table’s outer corners, eschewing the norm of the table-surface overhang. This assembly draws the attention to the considered and exposed intersection of the leg, apron and surface and ensures an extremely rigid construction.
Designer: Chris van Niekerk

The table is shown here in charcoal oak with a powder-coated steel structure.

Care & Maintenance
Important
Because of the unrounded edges of the legs, we recommend against placing this product in children’s rooms or other domestic areas to which young children have constant and open access to.
Our maintenance and care guidelines for the veneered table top are identical to the guidance regarding solid timber designs.
The MŪ811 is intended for indoor use only.
Manufacturing
The components comprising the steel base and legs of the MŪ811 table are laser-cut from mild steel sheets, followed by precision welding to enable the detachment of the four legs for shipping convenience. Upon assembly, the structure undergoes powder coating for added durability.
Meanwhile, the timber or stone top is produced separately to seamlessly fit within the steel frame, leaving only a slender visible edge. Depending on the order, the timber tabletop is treated with either a pigmented or colourless natural oil wax product.
