MŪ11 Bed

The MŪ11 bed was designed to subtly reference the shape of a torii, a traditional Japanese structure placed at the entrance of shrines as a symbol of the passage from the ordinary to the sacred. The top of the bed extends beyond the frame horizontally, providing simple storage space on each side. The solid oak frame is elevated by a steel structure and glides, creating a surprising contrast between the warm texture of the timber and the graphic lines of the metal base.
